From your town
head towards San Antonio. Once there you will take Highway 90 West
towards Del Rio. You will pass through Hondo and Uvalde before you reach
Del Rio. From here you are about 3 hours out. Del Rio is on the border
of Texas and Mexico and situated just South of Lake Amistad. As the
crow flies Del Rio is due West of Houston and San Antonio.
 On
Hwy. 90 the view is pleasant and the drive is relaxing. There are many
small towns to pass through and you will see lots of farmland. Points
of interest include Hondo's famous "Don't Drive Like Hell" sign, the
cut-off to Garner State Park located just North of Uvalde, the Alamo
Village in Brackettville where many famous Westerns were filmed, and
Laughlin A.F.B. just before Del Rio where the jets will fly right above
your head as they come in to land.
 Welcome
to Del Rio you only have about 30 minutes left. Here you will take a
right onto Hwy 277 heading North. This is main street Del Rio and as
you head out of town the local Mall and Wal-mart will be on the right
should you need any supplies. Heading out of town you will follow Hwy
277 North.(don't veer left onto Hwy 90 at the Y) Drive North over the
bridge and down to Route 2. Take a left on Route 2 and the campsite
will be down about a mile on your right.
